We are organizing an OpenRefine Community Call focused on reconciliation services. During this call, we want to introduce different reconciliation options and discuss: - what data and identifiers are available - when to use each service - known limitations and practical considerations - how the service fits into an OpenRefine reconciliation workflow The session is intended for anyone using reconciliation in OpenRefine, whether you are new to reconciliation or already working with authority files, knowledge bases, or custom reconciliation services. ## Presentations We plan to spend 15 to 20 minutes presenting each service. Confirmed presentations: - **[Getty reconciliation services](https://www.getty.edu/research/tools/vocabularies/obtain/openrefine.html)** by Jonathan Ward and Emily Benoff from the Getty. Overview of the Getty reconciliation services, including TGN, ULAN, and AAT, when to use them, and upcoming changes to the Getty Vocabularies. - **[Gemeinsame Normdatei (GND)](https://gnd.network/Webs/gnd/EN/Home/home_node.html)** by @thalou. Overview of the German Integrated Authority File (GND) reconciliation service, the identifiers and data it provides, and how it can be used with OpenRefine. - Two **Wikidata** presentations. - **VIAF reconciliation status** : @Martin will conduct a short discussion about the current status and limitations of VIAF reconciliation. ## Agenda - Welcome and community announcements - Short introduction of participants - Reconciliation service presentations - Questions and discussion ---
