The platform was working great yesterday, but today I can't load new projects or load an older version of an existing project. The screen just says "loading", but then nothing happens. It's been stuck for 20min. ---

Hello! Are you able to share more details about your OpenRefine installation? Did you recently update to a new version? I haven't experienced any issues today, but I've been running the latest version in the GitHub repository, not a specific release version, so that might be different from your setup. ---

The "loading" but nothing more on screen is usually an indication of an extension that isn't behaving properly. Did you recently install an extension? Can you remove some extensions to see if the problem goes away? ---

I'm using the latest version 3.9 on desktop. The issue seems to have resolved itself. It was taking a long, long time but eventually loaded. Now it seems to be working fine again. ---

I take that back. Projects take a long time to load. Maybe 20-40min? Is this normal behaviour? ---

In my case when I upload a big file it seems to be waiting indefinitly. ---

Projects do not have such high load time. Can you share some more details about the issue, do you see this high load times with all projects or few. If few projects exhibit this behaviour, share details of data size, facets configured, any other project configurations ---

I've been running into long wait times when I try to open a large OpenRefine project. I don't have any issues uploading data. For example, the project I struggle to open is 200K rows. ---

@Cimolini I would not expect such long loading times for a project, even with 200k rows. Two things worth checking/trying: - You can increase the amount of memory available to OpenRefine - see [Installing OpenRefine | OpenRefine](https://openrefine.org/docs/manual/installing#increasing-memory-allocation) - Is the file opening in Records mode? See [Exploring data | OpenRefine](https://openrefine.org/docs/manual/exploring#rows-vs-records) for an explanation of Rows vs Records in OpenRefine. If you have a project that OpenRefine is interpreting as having very large Records (that is many rows belonging together) and it opens in Records mode, this can cause performance issues Those are the first two things that immediately occur to me that could cause or contribute to slow loading of a project. Obviously it's possible that something else is happening so please do post more information if neither of these things help ---
