# OpenRefine 3.8.4: security update

We have released OpenRefine 3.8.4, which contains important security patches. We encourage users to [upgrade](https://openrefine.org/download) swiftly. See the [release notes](https://github.com/OpenRefine/OpenRefine/releases/tag/3.8.4) for details about the vulnerabilities fixed.

To continue using the Google Drive and Google Sheets integration, users need to [obtain their own application credentials from the Google API Console](https://github.com/OpenRefine/OpenRefine/wiki/Google-Extension).

There was an issue with 3.8.4 which prevented users from logging in to Wikidata, so we've just released 3.8.5 with a fix for that. It is otherwise identical to 3.8.4.

We've released a second patch for the 3.8.4 security release as OpenRefine [3.8.6](https://github.com/OpenRefine/OpenRefine/releases/tag/3.8.6). It includes fixes for:

- issue [#6977](https://github.com/OpenRefine/OpenRefine/issues/6977) which prevented exporting Wikidata QuickStatements
- issue [#6941](https://github.com/OpenRefine/OpenRefine/issues/6941) which prevents login to Wikidata (previously included in 3.8.5)
