# Requesting Feedback: Documenting OpenRefine Community Handbooks

The Barcamp and survey significantly shifted my focus over the last three months. I am planning to resume my work on this project in August.

Here is an update on my progress. I used the

- ✅ to indicate completed items;
- 🛑 where no progress has been made;
- 🚧 for work in progress.

My updates are in _italics_.

## July 25 progress

I plan to deploy the three playbooks in five phases.

**1. Quick wins (March and April)**: I will draft PRs and submit them for review for the following section:

- Restructure the website for pages that require little consensus:
  - 🚧 [OpenRefine Ecosystem](https://openrefine.org/ecosystem). _A first version is available; the discussion continues in [#325](https://github.com/OpenRefine/openrefine.org/issues/325)_
  - ✅ [OpenRefine History](https://openrefine.org/openrefine_history)
  - ✅ [Who use OpenRefine](https://openrefine.org/usage)
  - 🛑 What's new (and release note) - _not started, see [What's new pages and release note - we have 4 different pages!](https://forum.openrefine.org/t/whats-new-pages-and-release-note-we-have-4-different-pages/1264/)_

- 🛑 Code of Conduct Contributor Guide. _The committee is dormant. I haven't started this section._
- 🚧 Advisory Committee Contributor Guide. _[drafted here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HIYA0fqOabjlxVPwdhqTpJD_0-TMs30Nk38pTGqJunE/edit#heading=h.75udr6lmasxm) when we onboarded new member in January 2024._
- 🚧 Operation Manual: _The [draft](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HIYA0fqOabjlxVPwdhqTpJD_0-TMs30Nk38pTGqJunE/edit#heading=h.xwfq57k80jzl) is complete and I am using it regularly. I started to work on a branch locally I need to publish it._

**🚧 2. We should have results by end of August._

**3. Based on the new mission and vision (Summer 2024)**

- 🚧 **Update project roles and governance**. _Priority will be given to the developer pathways and discussion started here [Improving the onboarding process for new contributors](https://forum.openrefine.org/t/improving-the-onboarding-process-for-new-contributors/882/) and linked conversation_

- 🛑 **Social Conduct**. _not started_

I didn't start the following yet:

- 🛑 4. Update or create the contributor guide
- 🛑 5. I complete the operation manual separately
