# Transparency for Website and Docs engagement analytics

I think we should look to using the [Plausible Analytics](https://plausible.io/) system to track engagement across our sites. In the interests of transparency and being good web citizens the analytics information we gather could be viewed publicly.
As an example, the [Docusaurus.community](https://docusaurus.community/) website provides a nice button link at the bottom of their site that points to their site analytics gathered by [Plausible ยท docusaurus.community](https://plausible.io/docusaurus.community)

That is a quite nice idea! Plausible is an excellent lightweight tool, we use it at [my workplace too](https://plausible.io/publiccode.net?period=month&date=2023-03-30).
If we want more stats, Matomo is also an option that can provide public data.
