Hi,

I don't post here very often but remain a loyal reader of this forum.

I'm back from [DataHarvest2026](https://dataharvest.eu/) where I gave a 30mn session on Openrefine and the wonderful extension [AI extension](https://github.com/sunilnatraj/llm-extension) by [Sunil Natraj](https://forum.openrefine.org/u/sunil_natraj/) (Kudos and thanks for this amazing tool).

The are [other very good tutorials](https://forum.openrefine.org/t/using-local-chatgpt-like-llms-in-openrefine-for-data-wrangling/1833/12) on this forum, but I thought it might be useful to share my slides+install tutorial+scenarii, that I used during this presentation, where I demoed with a local model (Ministral-3b) on my Mac, to emphasize the role of this kind of setup when privacy comes at first. Journos are often dealing with sensitive documents and don't want these docs to be read by a commercial LLM.

[Repo with sample dataset and scenarii](https://github.com/herve-checkfirst/DataHarvest2026-Refine_with_llm).

Enjoy your day.
