I have been working at the North Rhine-Westphalian Library Service Centre (hbz) in Cologne, Germany, since 2008. Currently, I am leading the Metadata Infrastructure team whose work focuses on open standards, tools and processes for the publication of structured data on the web. Often collaborating with others, our team works on a wide range of standards, services and tools, amongst others: lobid, OER Search Index (OERSI), SkoHub, Metafacture, NWBib.

We have been using OpenRefine in some projects and are providing some reconciliation services to be used in OpenRefine, e.g. https://reconcile.gnd.network/ to reconcile data against the Integrated Authority File (GND) used in German-speaking memory institutions.
