Hi, since yesterday afternoon ive had a problem whereby Open Refine will reconcile with Wikidata, and display item previews, but will not search for a match. When i do so i just get “
Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later”
Ive tried different datasets, large and small. I’m also up to date.
The console is showing - “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403”
Welcome to the forum! Did anything change around the time the problem started? I'm not a huge wikidata user so these suggestions may be a bit naive, but I've seen issues when people either create new accounts or are trying to edit datasets without the correct permissions. Rate limiting can also be a problem, but since this has persisted for over a day then that might not be relevant here.

It's a straightforward fix, but the support status of the service and the software that powers it is unclear to me. It's definitely not supported by Wikidata.
Hello, I am having Jason’s problem since yesterday. The problem may have started around 17 GMT. Until now, I am still struggling with it, I believe no change have happened.
I first noticed this a few days ago, but it very likely started at the same time as all the other Wikidata issues when, back in Aug, Wikidata tightened the restrictions on their APIs.
Thanks Rory. No nothing changed on my end. It was a dataset I’ve been working on daily for a while and all was fine till that point. Id made no recent changes to my system either.
