We have released OpenRefine 3.8.4, which contains important security patches. We encourage users to upgrade swiftly. See the release notes for details about the vulnerabilities fixed.

To continue using the Google Drive and Google Sheets integration, users need to obtain their own application credentials from the Google API Console.

There was an issue with 3.8.4 which prevented users from logging in to Wikidata, so we've just released 3.8.5 with a fix for that. It is otherwise identical to 3.8.4.

We've released a second patch for the 3.8.4 security release as OpenRefine 3.8.6. It includes fixes for:

  • issue #6977 which prevented exporting Wikidata QuickStatements
  • issue #6941 which prevents login to Wikidata (previously included in 3.8.5)
