I think we should somehow use a double arrow (left/right) on the Column Move icon to make a harder connection to the concept of "move". We are using arrows on column reorder and also on some of the reshaping icons that are "cell move".

So, then further thinking on "cell" stuff. I think we could do 1 more tweak? We have some good iconography for Columns and Rows...using horizontal and vertical bars, which is great! But I don't see iconography for a Cell and wondering about that, and how we could use that in some of the "cell" based icons? Would the small box shape you have in fill down / blank down be a strong enough iconography for a cell, perhaps? What would one of those look like with the Multi value cell split/join icons? Just thinking those kinds of changes would be good so that users could quickly see and identify... oh, these are "cell" type operations, these are "column" type operations, these are "row" type operations. Less about arrows, perhaps make arrows smaller, and more about the operation types STRONGER. For instance, if we put all the "cell" type icons in a single group...do they have consistency and cohesiveness? Do "column" type icons, etc.?
I have started work on integrating the icons in the tool.
To make them identifiable at a small scale, I have had to simplify them quite a bit. Overall, I have the impression we have tried to be a bit too creative in designing those icons, and trying to make them convey more information that they are able to. For instance, to represent a column removal, we shouldn't need to include the representation of a column in the icon, but just the concept of removing something, because it will be clear from the context that this removal is that of a column (because we are in the "Edit column" submenu).
