AI-generated OpenRefine documentation on DeepWiki

Hi all, I recently heard about the site DeepWiki, which hosts AI-generated documentation for open source projects. Naturally, the first repo I looked for was OpenRefine, and behold: OpenRefine/OpenRefine | DeepWiki

It seems like this site was made by an AI tool called Devin, which is built by a company called Cognition. I haven’t done a thorough comparison between this and the actual OpenRefine documentation, so I can’t give an estimate of much is accurate and/or clearly scraped from the existing documentation. I’m going to read through it since it seems like there’s a lot here and there are references to specific parts of the code. I thought others might be interested in this as well.

Hi Rory, do you have some news about this ?

There’s also https://codewiki.google/

I wonder if the community here has some recommendations regarding this type of tools.

Hi! Apologies for the delay, I must have lost track of this during the end of the year shuffle. I don't have any follow ups here and it's been a few months since I've checked that site. I think I tried asking some questions to the AI agent on the website and it wasn't much help (but also didn't give me wrong information).

I don't use AI tooling much so I'd rather see our own documentation get better than rely on generated documentation like that from DeepWiki or Google.

Both are experimented by Open Food Facts. I’ll let you know what happens.
