Wikimedia Rate Limiting
Following last week conversation April 9, 2026 Advisory Commitee and conversation on T419770 and #7731, Martin drafted a workplan to resolve the issue (see Proposed Workplan tab).
Since the issue is resolved
- Martin closed the Google Doc for edits
- We will monitor for a week to see if there are any more errors reported by the community.
- Martin will publish a post-mortem regarding the issue. The idea is to make the blog post with
- next step to stabilize the service (so it is not buried in Google Document)
- Position of the OpenRefine project (with approval from the Core Dev Group member) regarding the status and ownership of the wikidata reconciliation service.
Community call
- So far, 11 people registered for the Community call: Extension developer guidelines (April 23, 2026)
- Martin will schedule the next session around May 28 to work on the goals post and prepare the bi-yearly survey.
