My comment was more around getting more users with knowledge of both OpenRefine and Wikimedia to engage with the OpenRefine issue and pull request review process rather than gathering as many users as possible. I think the group I'm imagining is related to the Wikimedia group proposed in this thread but is not a one-to-one mapping of it. My apologies if my comment confused the different groups being discussed here!
