There are a few things I would like to see changed to improve visibility of options in OpenRefine.

  1. Move Preferences, Help, About upwards just under Language Settings.
  2. Maybe change Preferences to a panel button like Language Settings?
  3. Have a thin blue/grey separation line just above Language Settings to help visually separate the set of Project buttons from the Global options buttons (Language Settings, Preferences, Help, About)

Any additional thoughts to improve visibility of features on the Home Screen and help folks not to overlook or miss things?

@thadguidry, great idea. I added the design-chat tag for better visibility to our designer contributor. I know the preference screen can be intimidating for some users.
