I am trying to install OpenRefine using the latest version on my MacOS Ventura but I get an error message. I uploaded a screen shot. It says "Open Refine cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software." Can you help? I tried an older version of OpenRefine and that installed but not the newer one.
Usually, that's a standard security issue.
Try to find the application in finder, right click on it then click open. It should give you the option of opening it after a warning message popup.
You can also try going to Settings and then Security. Somewhere in there is a message about you just trying to open it with the option to 'open it anyway' - then try again.

Thanks. I went back and reinstalled the latest version (which I wanted to have the latest version to avoid the bugs) and then I went into the finder --> application--> right click to open and that seemed to work. Thank you!
