OpenRefine Citation

I'm writing a paper where we use OpenRefine, how should I cite it properly? Is there a journal paper describing the features of OpenRefine?

I found some but they seem old: Ham, Kelli. "OpenRefine (version 2.5). http://openrefine. org. Free, open-source tool for cleaning and transforming data." Journal of the Medical Library Association: JMLA 101.3 (2013): 233.

Or describe specific use cases that were solved with OpenRefine: Ahmi, Aidi. "OpenRefine: An approachable tool for cleaning and harmonizing bibliographical data." AIP Conference Proceedings . Vol. 2827. No. 1. AIP Publishing, 2023.

Most papers that use OpenRefine just cite the GitHub repo.

What is the best way to properly cite OpenRefine for academic purposes?

Here are some examples. For the author, use "Code for Science & Society".

OpenRefine is a fiscally sponsored project of Code for Science & Society, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in the USA. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by US law (Tax ID: 81-3791683).

OpenRefine's website and documentation is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

I'd rather use the DOI created by Zenodo, which comes with example citation formats:
