Transparency for Website and Docs engagement analytics

I think we should look to using the Plausible Analytics system to track engagement across our sites. In the interests of transparency and being good web citizens the analytics information we gather could be viewed publicly.

As an example, the Docusaurus.community website provides a nice button link at the bottom of their site that points to their site analytics gathered by Plausible · docusaurus.community

That is a quite nice idea! Plausible is an excellent lightweight tool, we use it at my workplace too.

If we want more stats, Matomo is also an option that can provide public data. Here is how it looks like for the Govdirectory project I am working on.
