Using OpenRefine for cleaning data

Hello! I have a question about using OpenRefine for data cleaning/organizing.

I am not a data person, but I work with a bunch of data analysts at work. I was wondering if and how this tool is used to clean data sets. If so, can I use it to put sets into CSV format and download it as a file?

Yes - this is the primary use of OpenRefine

Yes - OpenRefine supports import and export of data in a variety of formats including CSV
