Community Call

The Community Call: OpenRefine Developer AMA (Ask Me Anything) call earlier today was a success, with 5 attendees, including a new contributor.

Martin is working to set a date the week of October 12 for the reconciliation service presentations

Martin will schedule Community call to present the results of the survey (date to be confirmed)

Survey

We received 132 answers so far. This is below the expected 200 answers to close the survey.

  • Martin posted one more social media post yesterday
  • The last social media post is planned for Sep 23
  • Martin will send another email asking to answer the survey. The email will also contain the announcement for the October community session
  • The plan is to close the survey on Sept 30, so Martin can do the analysis in October.

Apple Certificate

Linda from CS&S and Martin recorded a tutorial on how the keys and secrets are managed. This will be part of the documentation

Martin shared the current signing key with Tom so he can troubleshoot failed notarization directly in preparation for the 3.10.2 release.

D//F RFP

Jan and Martin discussed potential impact on budget and workload if we have the D//F RFP

Next Priority

Jan and Martin reviewed the upcoming priorities for Martin and agreed on the following

  1. Apple Key management documentation
  2. Community call organization
  3. Wikimedia recon status blog post
  4. Survey analysis
  5. GitHub action for new contributor
  6. Contact potential contributors interested in joining the Advisory Committee from the survey. This is dependent on the OS4LS grant status.
  7. Start the 2026 Donation campaign; this is more of a nice-to-have due to the limited success from last year.
