Bi-yearly Survey
- Martin hosted a community call to review the survey.
- Notes and suggestions from the call need to be integrated into the survey
- Pending review and feedback from the Advisory Committee
- The group discussed the need (or not) to collect more demographic data
- Grants applications rarely request them.
- Having more details may influence how we communicate with the community, but we don't have an action plan to leverage this information
- Recommendation from the AC and CS&S is that if we are not directly using it, then there is no need to collect.
- Therefore, we will not expand the demographic question in the 2026 survey.
Community call schedule
Martin is working to schedule the following session
- Developer Ask Me Anything (AMA) session, 3 developers interested. No date confirmed yet.
- LLM Extension demo, 2 presenters identified. No date confirmed yet.
- We have a survey to understand what the community is interested in, but received few answers.
CS&S Operations Update
- New FSP Operations Coordinator starting on June 1
- Danielle Robinson is stepping down as Executive Director of CS&S. See announcement: CS&S Announces Leadership Transition
- Informational only: Apple Developer account has been renewed for another year; next due date is May 28, 2027

- FLOSS/Fund wire should me imminent now CS&S submited the requested documentation
- Martin is exploring a new direction for the Funding opportunity: OS4LS proposal around OpenRefine for life-science data curation
- CS&S approved OpenRefine FY 2027 Budget.
