While using OpenRefine to upload new images to Wikimedia Commons, I kept having errors due to: [okhttp3.internal.http2.StreamResetException: stream was reset: CANCEL, okhttp3.internal.http2.StreamResetException: stream was reset: CANCEL]. I can still upload one or two images sometimes but most of the time it doesn't work because of the above error shown in the terminal log. I tried using different proxies but still had the same issue. Really appreciate help of any kind!
Hi,
That's a curious problem!
What is the size (in terms of disk usage) of the images you are trying to upload?
What sort of proxy do you mean? Are you behind an HTTP proxy? Have you tried uploading without any proxy?
In the OpenRefine project don't offer any cloud version - if you mean the Wikimedia-hosted OpenRefine instances on PAWS, it's a good question, that you could perhaps ask at Commons talk:OpenRefine - Wikimedia Commons. But I wonder how you are using that to upload pictures to Commons - does that mean that you are uploading the images to PAWS first, and then uploading them to Commons via OpenRefine?
Thank you for your reply! Here are my replies:

I tried smaller batches which may be around 1GB for 250 images at a time;

I used VPN when I was in China, which had a much higher success rate than now (I am now in US, I have tried both with and without proxy, and switched to several different wifi's, it still keeps running into the same reset failure.)

I have urls for the images I plan to upload (ones that when you click on the url, it directly downloads the image), so I tried with those; but those uploads didn't succeed. I could only see the progress completing up to 100% but no actual uploads were made.
Thank you so much!! It would be great if you could provide some suggestions. I am really confused by the issue now.
After switching to another network, similar errors occurred:
[okhttp3.internal.http2.StreamResetException: stream was reset: CANCEL, okhttp3.internal.http2.StreamResetException: stream was reset: CANCEL]
