Martin's contract renewal
With Martin's current contract ending Dec 31, 2024, and on-going conversation regarding the need (or not) for a community manager role, the group decided to reconduct the same Statement of Work with minimal changes based on the following services:
- Facilitating regular meetings (online or in-person) within the OpenRefine community and with external partners;
- Run outreach activities such as our biyearly user survey or by representing the project in events;
- Help with fundraising, including grant applications and reporting
- Manage the project budget
- Serve as direct supervisor for new hires, interns and contractors
- Liaise with Code for Science and Society, our fiscal sponsor
- Assist the advisory committee as required.
The new SOW will start on January 6th with Martin's return from vacation.
Barcamp / Community manager discussion
The group continues last week's conversation regarding what will best serve the community in 2025.
The Advisory Community will summarize its proposition and present it on the forum.
